Disabled People Bite postcard 1995

Image of postcard 'Disabled People bite the hand that patronises'

About

This postcard was produced in 1995, by a group of young disabled people taking part in a cartoon animation project in Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People’s Young Disabled People’s Resource Centre. The images are stills from the ‘Disability is…’ cartoon animation, with the words accompanying the dog being patted on the head.

You can view the ‘Disability is…’ video on Youtube here.

Image Description

A brightly coloured A4 postcard in portrait orientation. Images on the left side show a cartoon drawing of a brown dog being petted by a disembodied pink hand. Images on the right side show a drawing of a person being petted by a disembodied pink hand. Both images have a colourful background of many circles in purple, red, pink, green and yellow.
